Articles submitted to the contest must be original, and previously unpublished content.

Rick, The article(s) submitted to the contest must be fresh (new, original, written for this contest)) it also should not be published prior to submission as in floating the article in another forum or venue first.

In other words you should be writing an article specifically for this contest.

I assume, since the author retains all copyrights, that publication elsewhere is an option after the contest ends?

Yes Will, its the Authors piece and he retains the rights, I just ask that it be published for the contest first.

Rick, you have more than that!

start of the contest March 1, 2008 and the deadline May 1, 2008.

However, if your a one finger wonder like myself you may not want to wait till the end of the time frame to get started

Got to give myself time to write and edit Tom, hence 30 days to come up with an idea. Maybe 6 weeks if pushing it.

Nothing like starting an hour before the deadline....gets the creative juices flowing.
