pear group?????

Postby Paddles on Fri May 15, 2009 3:05 am

Ok, I have some pears, I'm told that they are self seeded pears dug out of a cow paddock (They were given to me last year, and because I didn't know what to do with them, I put them into the ground. now I'm thinking of lifting them and doing it as a group... any suggestions would be appreciated (Including weather to count the twin trunk, as 1 or 2 trees? incase I have problems posting these pics, I'll state, there are 4 acutual trees

Ok, I'm going to cheat, I'll email the photos to Ash and ask him to put them up!!!!!

First question would be if the pears can take being trunk chopped?

As for how many trees to count the twin one as....... due to the spacing between the trunks I'd count as two if you are insisting on "counting".

I do have a suggestion-rather than do these as a group, why not do them as part of a landscape (pejing?)? Build it on a slab, have a moutain or two , etc........
