This is a chrysanthemum or crissy for short, everyone I know that collects stones has one of these.

These three stones, even though quite different looking, all came from the Taihu lake region.

This is another of my favorites, a Lvliang stone looking like a bull lying down.

These two were collected in the Gobi Desert.

What a beautiful collection, Harry. You can be very proud of your stones. What can you relate about the process used for these? Are they polished, or oiled, or just cleaned up to shine like some do? I assume the ones that are completely flat were cut to be that way, yes? And do they come attached to their bases? I'd be knocking them over if they were just balanced, as some appear to be.

After a few drinks, do they sort of start to move around a bit? Thanks for sharing. Vic

Chinese stones can be modified, some of mine have been cut on the bottom, while others are their natural shape. Some stone shops polish their stones, none of mine have been polished. The second link is where a lot of my stones come from, it is his nature and mine to haggle (usually about 30%), which is my way to buy... :D
