My stone collection to date.....

Postby greerhw on Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:17 pm

I collect Chinese viewing stones because traditional Japanese Suiseki is boring to me, I prefer to see something different in every stone. Chinese viewing stones are named after the region where they are collected, some stones can no longer be collected because they are under water now. , The price of stones isn't to bad, until you add shipping.
The first stone is the first stone I purchased and my favorite, it's called a Xixia stone, pronounced [zee-sha]

These next three are called Wuling and some of my favorites also.

This next stone is called a Youlan, they are plentiful and not to expensive.

This is the only stone I have from the US, it was collected in the Eel river.
