Hosta Accent

Postby JTGJr25 on Sun May 03, 2009 7:17 pm

Just recently picked up this little hosta to use as an accent. Here it is planted in its new pot with some fresh moss.

Nice pot and the weeds aren't bad either

So what are you going to accent?
Cheers, Tom

Not entirely sure what I'll accent. I have no finished trees so its kinda hard to choose. I'm sure it could work for a yew. I still have a soft spot for just plain ol' plants so I can enjoy his as it is.

"I still have a soft spot for just plain ol' plants"

Truer words have never been spoken TG :).

I was thinking, every time I see accent plants they are always *way* bigger than the pot they are in. Anyone know why?

Ok I had to bite

It's like Robin and Batman or Kato and the Green Hornet, the side kick whats to be noticed.

So why not the Accent plant, why must they be place in small pots? They are just as important as
the other plants!

Ok  I made a fool of myself.

I do like the Hosta, what type of Hosta did you use?

Sorry, I didn't notice you're question earlier. It is a variety called "Snow Mound". It gets very nice purple flowers in the summer.
