Qld small leaf fig

Postby PeterW on Mon Sep 21, 2009 1:45 am

The Queensland small leaf fig or Ficus eugenioides is an easily collectable species here in Australia. This one came form a friend who's father is a passionate collector and puts together some nice Australiana type settings with them. I gave this one its first styling this weekend just gone.

This is the original.

This is the after shot. The planting angle is wrong at the moment but will be corrected next year.

Hi Peter
The second shot is that going to be your front? It looks to be an intresting plant.

You mentioned that the friend who gave you the plant, puts together some nice Australiana type settings to them,
what type of settings do you mean? I'm just wondering.

Hello Peter I don't know much about ficus but I really like this trunk. You have paved the way for a nice future for this tree. A very nice find which will only be enhanced in your careful hands.

He collects old pieces of fence palings and things like that and builds a type of pot out of them and plants the figs in them, i will try and get some pics to show you, they are quite interesting.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you do with this in the years ahead.
