SUISEKI

Postby Ash Barns on Fri Dec 26, 2008 3:28 am

This the latest in my small collection of viewing stones, which my son gave me. It came from the Waratah Bay area in south Victoria. It has an amazing flat base and only needed a smear of oil to enhance it's jet black exterior. I really don't agree with cutting stones but I understand why people do so.

Are these two separate stones Ash or front and back?

Edit: removed one of the images per Ash's response

This is the same stone posted twice for some reason which escapes me. I also made an error in oiling it with vegetable oil. I have since learned that if oil is to be used only mineral oil should be the preference.

Ash :)
