Many thanks for sharing this preview with us Lindsay. This is a very interesting technique and well worth considering with young stock. Field growing would accelerate the process no doubt as long as design is monitored. Perhaps a raised bed might be better to save our backs. This might be one of Japans best kept secrets, up until now.
Regards Ash :)

I can't wait to see the translated version. Its fascinating to see how the trees grow around the wire. Its nice to see the professionals have a bone yard too! :D

For those of us unable to attend the RT with Mr. Farr, where might the video password be available?

As expressed before, I would also like to thank Lindsay Farr for his time, advice, and insight! It was a great discussion and something special to be granted the special preview. I cant wait to see it with subtitles as I think the end of the video or the "boneyard" as called by weeble ;) could possibly detail some mistakes made using the techniques as well as drawbacks or remidies. Im sure to be successful with the technique we will need to have a bit of troubleshooting insight!

Just remember, the Japanese won't tell you everything, there will almost always be important tidbits to be devined through experience. John
