User Approval

Starting 2/10/2008 automatic sign up for membership will be discontinued.

New users will now be approved manually. This step is taken in an effort to prohibit spammers and crashers from posting unwanted content. While not fool proof it should benefit the site.

I felt it important to inform our community off this action. It is your community and I feel you should be kept a breast of why things are happening. I have spent the past 36 hours fighting back the hordes of spammers and crashers trying to keep this site's content clean. Energy that could be used to develop this forum and the web site for its betterment. I regret doing this, as it may give the appearance to the on-line bonsai community that this is a private forum which it absolutely is not. New membership will be reviewed on a daily basis at a minimum to expedite their inclusion.
