***NEW*** Toolbar

With the new site upgrade we have rebuilt our toolbar to better serve you. Anyone with the old toolbar will find that its a bit antiquated and does not reflect the current goings on at the Vault. The old toolbar will be phased out shortly so its recommended that you uninstall it and install the new version. You can get the toolbar here, on the links menu, or in the welcome thread.

Whats the new toolbar have to offer?

The new toolbar has been designed around the different venues we have going on here. It sends you messages and updates reminding you of Study Groups Meetings, Round Table Events, and the status of contest we will hold.

It allows you to surf the all the popular online bonsai sites with the site links drop down menu quickly and efficiently. This list of links can be added to, so if you have a favorite please let us know and we will add it.

It also includes the old standbys with link buttons to the BV forum and BV site, BV Chat, search feature,weather and email notifier.

The Most Important Feature!
Bonsai Vault has launched the Bonsai Theft Reporting Network. This program is designed to instantly broadcast a report of a stolen bonsai to anyone that has the toolbar. You will receive an alert of the theft with in minutes of it being reported anywhere in the world. No looking at a website page, the alert will pop up on your desktop whether you have your browser or toolbar opened or closed. You simply click the link of the alert to give you all the details.



Though we hope and pray this feature never has to be used, it will be an invaluable tool to help keep the bonsai community informed and let them keep their eyes open to help identify the thief and hopefully recover the tree.

For those that opt for the toolbar, a tip.

In the message and reminder center you will receive notices and messages. This is a kind of POST IT or STICK IT and will remain as long as you leave it. Even past a time dated event. You must right click on the message then delete it. If you don't, it will forward that message label to the next dated event whether it a similar event or not.
